Margret Schiavo

Born in 1968, Margret is a trained foreign language specialist. She has spent 7 years with a publishing company as an assistant editor, acquiring profound knowledge of publishing tools such as QuarkXPress. She joined dialog translations as a project manager in 07/2001.

Hans Christian von Steuber

Hans Christian von Steuber, born in 1962, holds a degree in technical translation from the University of Hildesheim, Germany. He spent 6 months at the department of languages and linguistics at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in the UK and an academic year at the University of Texas Linguistics Department in Austin, Texas under a Fulbright scholarship. Before leaving for Texas, he completed his thesis on the first PC-based translation system, which had just been installed at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. After nearly 3 years in Berlin as a terminologist/translator for a major translation company, he moved to the city of Oldenburg in north-western Germany to start Dialog Translations in 1991.

Holger Becker

Born in 1969, studied English and Mathematics at the University of Oldenburg and obtained an M.A. in Lexicography from the University of Exeter (England) in 1998 and a Ph.D. from the University of Oldenburg in 2005. He joined the dialog translations team in 2000 as a terminologist.

Christof Hellweg

Born in 1966, Christof holds a degree in physics from the University of Oldenburg and has been maintaining our Linux file server and currently 7 workstations since 01/1999. A great anglophile, Christof speaks fluent British and loves cider.

Susan Irwin

Born in 1958, Susan holds a BA in German, Russian and Economics from Newcastle Polytechnic in the U.K. Since 1992 she has been supporting dialog translations with the German => English language combination.
